Dislocated hip? Symptoms and treatment?

How can you tell if you dislocated your hip? Some "symptoms" i have are pain in my right hip/groin area and a noticeable popping sound when i bring my leg up to my chest and then straighten it and also moving it side to side. What should I do if I have dislocated it since I want to recover quickly to continue sports. Any advice will help. Thank you!
