I have a 08 chevy malibu classic 2.2l 4 cyl. The car calls for a even 5 quarts. I accidently put 5.28 quarts in it so I over filled it a little bit. I already asked my automotive instructor If it will hurt anything and he told me no its just a little bit over but if I had put maybe a whole quart over then I Would have problems. I'm just asking on here because I want to here from other people what they think. Is it something to worry about or should I just listen to my instructor? I did notice light black smoke was coming from the tail pipe a for like 5 minutes or so but sense then no more smoke has been coming out.
