How would I get used to this?

I really want my own room, because I share a room with my little sister. The only room available is a room in my downstairs. But both of my brothers are away in university, so I would have the downstairs to myself! And my downstairs is the darkest place in my house! And our house has been robbed, and the rest of my family is way upstairs! How do I over come the fear of sleeping by myself alone, with no one else? (sorry about the category)
