I overfilled the car with oil the other day and drained it by syphon from the dip stick to just under the correct level. We have since been driving but today was driving slowly out of the estate and lost power so my wife put into park as is a Renault scenic 1.6 automatic petrol. The display is completely blank and when you put the card in and push the start button nothing happens. The electronic locking still works via the card apart from the boot will not open and have had it towed to Renault dealer. The gearbox would not move out of park and the front wheels were locked. Have you any idea what this could be? When the battery was tested there was big sparks maybe indicating there is an electrical fault???
