Consider this situation: It's a 2 lane street with the right side for parking. Problem is that right lane is sharing the lane with parking, so it's very narrow when you drive by a row of parked cars. Today, I saw someone get out of the car, and the car door took up half of my lane on the right. Luckily nobody was to my left, so I swerved out of the way. I was wondering if I did clip that door (or worse, the person), who would be responsible for damages?
