My subwoofers won't work in my car?

I just bought subs from this guy on craigslist They are old school (2000's) Rockford fosgate p2 12 inch subs They are single 4 ohm subs I have a monoblock amp I wired the subs to the amp at 2 ohms I know everything wired right and I know my amp is working because I powered 1 10 inch sub before and it worked fine. When o had the 12s hooked up they made no noise at all. What could be wrong with the subs? I guess I got ripped off but is there anyway I can fix the subs?
