How would you test a Idle Air Control Valve? Posted: 09 Dec 2013 05:10 AM PST I've looked around on the web and I'm just running around in circles with no good answer. I have a 1992 ford ranger 2wd automatic 4.0L v6 my truck is idling at 3,500 same when I'm driving. The red line is 5,000 I have a feeling the Idle Air Control Valve my be stuck open, its been cleaned few times but there isn't any change. How can I test the Idle Air Control Valve on my truck? Only thing I saw was using a voltage meter but I have no ideal where im putting it on the iac and the other thing I saw was unplugging it and starting the car. |
