2007 Sebring electrical light coming on during downshifting?

My 2007 Sebring once in a blue moon would have the lightning bolt light come on with a loss of power as I reduced speed. It would resolve itself after a few seconds. Yesterday, after about 80 miles of travel, this was happening a lot on the way home, about every time I let off the gas. The gas tank was half full and it was very cold out. Any thoughts?
