Abdominal pain is keeping me from sleeping?

For the post few weeks I've had on and off lower abdominal pain. Sometimes it's unnoticeable, sometimes excrutiating. Right now it's closer to excrutiating. It's been narrowed down to what I think is just constipation, but It's killing my ability to easily fall sleep. It's 4:00 am right now and I have to get up at 6, so I'm getting no sleep tonight. Is there anything I should try for future reference if I'm stuck in the situation again?
