White bumps on my tongue?!?

When ever I eat sour candy I get bumps on my tongue, there like small and white and all I can do is take my teeth and run them over the bumps. It hurts but it make them feel better for like a minute. I heard that if you mix hot water and salt and whoosh it around in your mouth, I tried it and I couldn't do it. HELP!!
