When I cover my left eye my right pupil dilates?

It gets obviously bigger even if I'm in a well lit room. My vision in my right eye has been 'foggy' and I also have a difficult time seeing color too.Would optic neuritis be able to cause my right eye to dilate only when my left eye is in the dark?
