Car damaged by a pothole, pothole has now 'disappeared'? Posted: 09 Jan 2013 05:12 AM PST I recently went down a pothole that had developed in one of them gutters where they bury cables under the road. The car started making a knocking noise after this, so I took it to a garage and they told me their is a problem with the see V joint (or something like that). I went back to take a photo of the pothole so I could make a claim to the highways agency and amazingly the pothole has been covered over with fresh tarmac. You can tell a pothole was there as the tarmac is pure black where the road is a grey colour. You also see drivers move over the white line, obviously knowing about the hole but not knowing it has been fixed. Where do I stand now in getting the car fixed as apart from my word, I don't have any proof of this pothole? |
