I have 10 gauge speaker wire for my subwoofers, they hardly fit in the subs let alone the box and or amp. I have 2 Polk audio mm1540 subs (15 inch) and am looking at a 4500 watt power acoustik amp -> http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_43624_Power-Acoustik-GT1-4500D.html I was wondering if the size of the wire will affect power input from the amp to the speakers. I had to cut off about two to three quarters of the thickness of the wire to make it fit in both the amp and subs. I was hoping to buy thinner wire so they fit better and are easier to manage if I decide to move anything around. Thoughts?
