What's wrong with my reproductive system?

I am 17 years old, female. I have been noticing some concerning patterns with my reproductive system. I begin cramping about a week before my period is due, and I only bleed enough to use a regular size tampon on the first day, after that I barely have any flow. Usually after that first day of "normal" bleeding, the light flows are dark red/brown. I have had a miscarriage before, if that could have any cause to what is happening to me? I also experience lower abdominal pain during intercourse. I'm worried it could be cystic ovaries, but I just don't know. Help please??
