What could be wrong with my car? '92 Honda Civic?

I have a 92 Honda civic and recently the oil light started blinking. I had two people check my oil and they both say there is still oil in the car. My dad says it just needs a new sensor and its still okay to drive it. After like a week the light got worse and not its on like 90% of the time. I went to get an oil change and they wouldn't change it for me and Im kind of scared to drive it now. What could possible be wrong with it?
