Tore off a chunk of my skin!?

i was trying to get the white part of my big toe, i tore to much and i ripped off my skin, Now it is a flap of skin, i have an atrocious wound which is a flap of skin. I REALLY DON'T WANNA TAKE IT OFF< BECAUSE IT WILL HURT! IT is just not the outer layer but the inside tore out, it stopped bleeding but it looks disgusting and it hurts. Can it heal itself? I DONT WANNA TAKE IT OFF!!! PLEASE HELP
